Story Time With Shreya
Hey Guys! Happy Sunday! <3
Well, I just wanted to share a short story with you and a short poem I wrote the other day. So this is gonna be a short blog! Hope you enjoy reading it!! :)
Today, I just want to talk about this boy Aryan who is very jovial and fun-loving kid. He attends his classes, helps everyone in the class and is a very caring child. When a new professor was appointed as his mathmatics teacher, he noticed that Aryan's smile was hiding something. He was faking it, like everything was okay. There was definitely something that was bothering him inside. His friends then told the professor that he had lost a loved one due to Covid-19 and since then he has been this way. The professor decided to make him happy again and to teach him that we cannot do anything against the nature's rules. So the professor called him to his place in the evening and by 7 pm sharp Aryan was standing outside, his professor's house.
He rings the bell and says, "yes sir!? How may I help you?" The professor asked him to come inside and sit, till then he would bring him a glass of lemonade. When he returned, he handed over the glass to Aryan. As soon as Aryan took his first sip, he started coughing. "What happened Aryan? Are you okay?" asked the professor concerned. "Sir you've added a lot of salt to this lemonade" replied Aryan. "Blimey! let me make you another glass of lemonade, give me this - I throw it away!" said the professor. "No no sir! Please don't waste this, just add a spoon of sugar and it'll be balanced" Aryan said smiling. "This is what you have to do with yourself bacha!" the professor sat near him and said. "Sorry I did not get you sir?" he asked all confused. "I know that you have lost someone dear to you and now everything around feels sour just like this lemonade. You have lost all your hopes and interest on life! You are in pain. Am I right? So what do you do when nothing feels right?" the professor asked. Aryan made no answer. The professor puts his hand on Aryan head and continues "You have to add a spoon of sugar to your life beta. You and me, your friends, and everybody in this world has to allow ourselves to GIVE LOVE. We have to talk it out, if needed cry a little but we have to do this so that we all can add a spoon of sugar and balance it out ourselves.
Aryan understood what his professor told him. And I hope you did too. Covid-19 has indeed affected us from within and we all have lost someone dear to us. So all we have to try to do is give love as much as we can. And teach each-other that some things are just not in our hands. But if something feels sour like the lemonade then we'll add some sugar and balance it on our own.
I was really disturbed because of the ongoing situations. And this is what I wrote:
Ek sawal hai mere zehen mein jo tum bura na mano toh mein puchu;
Ke yeh jo itna kuch meine gawaya hai,
Iska zimedaar kaun hai?
Yeh jo ambulance ki awaz har ghardi mere kaano mein pardhti hai,
Yeh jo phone bajte hi meri dhadakane tez ho jati hai,
Yeh bhare huye aspatal,
Yeh bikhre-tute halaat
Iska zimedar kaun hai?
Mein har roz koshish krta hu;
Himmat ekkatha krta hu,
Facbook aur Instagram pr kisi na kisi ni takleef pardhta hu,
Rest in peace bhi likhta hu,
Aasuo ko chupa kr work from home h toh kaam bhi krta hu,
Par iska zimmedar kaun hai?
Kaun h jisse shamshan ghat pr murdo ki katare ni dikhti?
Kya tumhe dukho ke injection ni chubhte?
Kya tumhe iss mask ke peeche chikhati huyi aatmaye ni dikhti?
Aakhir iska zimmedar kaun hai?
Kisi ki ma toh kise ke baba, kisi ki choti toh kisi ka sab kuch lutt chuka hai,
Jinh gharo mein iss saal diwali kaha manayenge ki baatein hori thi:
Waha ka diya humesha ke liye bujh chuka hai.
Ache ya bure, woh guzre din jaise bhi the kya kabhi laut ke aayenge?
Aakhir kaun hai iska zimmedar? Kya hum kabhi pata laga payenge?
I hope I was able to deliver the message.Will write to you soon. Till then stay home, stay safe. These are hard times, lets spread more of love all over and make this world a better place to breathe in.
Great piece of writing 🙌🏻
